# Examples

The **Random Flow** add-on is primarily designed for concept art but just a small change in workflow, you can use it for production. I may have shifted from 3D modeling to programming but in the hands of an abled artist like **Piero Desopo** [**http://phoenixart.com/**](http://phoenixart.com/) and others, you can definitely see the power that **Random Flow** can offer. **Piero** made most of the product thumbnail for the add-on in the stores.

**Random Flow** can be used to create background or hero assets. Feel free to expirement with design concepts from a single object to massive architectures, ships or environments.

Use it to quickly flesh out ideas or create design references to stimulate your creativity.

Layer details on top of each other to produce convincing designs that hides the fact that it was randomized.

This space station model is a perfect example of the layering technique used to create deep levels of details by stacking the randomized results on top of each other. You can build up the scene using highly or sparsely detailed objects, for example, the small asteroids you see in the images are just primitive cubes using the random scatter operator in the add-on.

The perfect use for this add-on is to build up your own library of scifi assets then use Blender's asset browser to quickly insert these models to your scene. What's great about this is the design of these models are going to be unique for you compared to assets you can buy from a store which other artists may also have.

If you want the most of this add-on, you can add [**Creative Flow**](/add-ons/creative-flow.md) for quickly creating basemeshes with its boolean functionalities and adding materials appened by Random Flow on multiple objects or face selection from multiple objects. There's also [**Greeble Bake**](/add-ons/greeble-bake.md) that you can use to bake texture maps of the random details created with **Random** **Flow** on a simple primitive plane that you can also use to build up a texture library. And there's [**Panel Cutter**](/add-ons/panel-cutter.md), this is a manual panel cutter add-on that you can use post randomization to manually create details on the randomized mesh.

The **Random Flow** add-on has multiple uses and workflows that will appeal to everyone. This is a world builder add-on and if used with practice and experience, it can give you awesome results that goes beyond its buying price.
